If i can cycle a 75 and 125 discus tank with it then it’s definitely usable bacteria. With the fish in within a couple days the ammonia from the food and waste maintains the bacteria just fine. Im not saying adding ammonia separate won’t help better, but my way did work out.
WebMay 2, 2024 · Joined 1 yr Posted May 2, 2024 I just used their turbostart 900 on a tank. Took about 5 days start to finish. Those are just a bunch of nitrifying bacterias, so you have to add an ammonia source. I fed heavily for a couple days and slowly saw ammonia and nitrites and nitrates all build up and taper off.
