Ionic plasma thruster
A plasma propulsion engine is a type of electric propulsion that generates thrust from a quasi-neutral plasma. This is in contrast with ion thruster engines, which generate thrust through extracting an ion current from the plasma source, which is then accelerated to high velocities using grids/anodes. These exist in many forms (see electric propulsion). However, in the scientific literature, the term "p… Web6 dec. 2016 · 127,440 Thrust 192 Energy 390 Heat So the Atomic has almost the drain of the next higher Plasma, but with: -24 mass or -41,4 % mass to Plasma -29160 Thrust or -22,9% Mass to Plasma So going from a Plasma to a smaler Atomic would save a lot of mass, with less loss of Thrust and no gain in Heat/Energy

WebIonic thruster by name seems like very futuristic and complex technology, but it is not at all difficult to make and demonstrate small thruster at home. But using it for an actual application (like satellite propulsion) is difficult. So in this instructable working of the thruster is explained and a simple thruster is also made. WebOne of the main oscillatory modes found ubiquitously in Hall thrusters is the so-called breathing mode. This is recognized as a relatively low-frequency (10–30 kHz), longitudinal oscillation of the discharge current and plasma parameters. In this paper, we present a synergic experimental and numerical investigation of the breathing mode in a 5 kW-class …
